2XL is conceived as a residence tailored for a family of six in Nicosia, where the primary architectural focus is on crafting an introverted space that safeguards family privacy while fostering sociability within. At its core, the design is rooted in the well-being of the family, emphasizing the enhancement of their daily rhythms and direct perception of the changing elements—time, season, weather, natural environment, and temperature.

This residence is meticulously designed, constructed, and operationalized as a receiver of external stimuli. The floor plan typology, positioning of openings, building orientation, and the thoughtful organization of individual spaces work in harmony to integrate the dwelling with its surroundings. The result is a dynamic and ever-evolving shell that responds to the natural changes in the environment, creating a living space deeply connected to the ebb and flow of its surroundings.
