D house in Larnaca is a deliberate illustration of reductive design infused with a subtle sense of dynamism. Its L-shaped layout is not just a design choice but a strategic decision that enhances both privacy and the relationship between indoor and outdoor spaces. The open side of the L-shape embraces the garden, creating an intimate courtyard that serves as the heart of the home.

The exterior is dominated by clean white surfaces, which reflect the Mediterranean light, enhancing the house's crisp, modernist aesthetic. These white surfaces are juxtaposed with extensive wooden cladding that texture to the otherwise reductive design. The wood is used not only as an accent but as a functional element, softening the starkness of the white surfaces and providing a shading device for protection of the extreme UV exposure of the location.

Internally, the design prioritizes spaciousness and flow. The L-shape naturally divides the house into distinct zones, with communal spaces oriented towards the courtyard. This configuration allows for generous, open-plan living areas that feel expansive yet intimate, accommodating a variety of activities and gatherings.

The aesthetic of the house, while reductive, is far from static. The interplay of materials—smooth white surfaces, warm wood, and large expanses of glass—creates a dynamic composition. The glass elements, in particular, introduce transparency and light, ensuring that the house feels bright and airy throughout the day. These transparent walls also frame views of the garden, further integrating the outdoor spaces with the interior.

In terms of functionality, the house is designed to cater to modern living, with an emphasis on flexibility and comfort. The use of natural materials, combined with the thoughtful layout, results in a space that is both visually appealing and highly livable.
