This residential project is conceived as an introverted sanctuary, where the architecture strategically responds to its urban context by closing off the plot with high walls and fences, creating a private and serene environment. The ground floor is defined by open, fluid spaces that seamlessly connect with the outdoor areas, while the upper floor is a suspended prism that floats above, offset to create shaded zones for the outdoor living spaces below.
The elevated volume is enveloped by a perforated aluminum grid shading device, designed to allow filtered light to penetrate while providing privacy and protection from the intense sun. This grid introduces a dynamic interplay of light and shadow throughout the day, enhancing the minimalist aesthetic of the design. The contrast between the solid, protective perimeter and the light, airy upper structure underscores the duality of the house—secure and introverted on the outside, yet open and expansive within.
This project demonstrates a refined balance between privacy and openness, offering a living environment that is both protected from its surroundings and deeply connected to the natural elements.
The architectural composition reflects a thoughtful response to the challenges of urban living, where privacy, shade, and light are harmonized to create a tranquil retreat amidst the city.
